Went here for. Lunch with some friends and we were very happy with everything this placed offered. We have been to other AYCE Korean BBQ, even the one just down the street, but this place is a new favorite. Simple setting, but spread out so you aren't bumping into other people. Service was top notch with all the servers helping each other so you weren't waiting long for anything. Extremely friendly and offered suggestions which is always appreciated. There is a 2 our max which was ample for us and in that time the hot tea pot was always filled the water pitcher always ready and they changed our grill plate at least 5 times. Food was better then other places with much better taste. I liked they even had tortillas available, it was a small but very nice touch.
Been to all 3 locations and this one is my favorite because they have the most variety compared to Oakland and Alameda. Staff here are always attentive with getting in orders and grill changes without asking despite how busy they are. Items unique to this location: Korean fried chicken (included in AYCE menu), beef cubes, lamb cubes, Korean ramen, tornado potato, butter garlic shrimp, butter garlic squid. Although I live closer to the Alameda and Oakland location, I prefer to come to this location because of the reasons listed above :)
ACYE for $33.99 per person! (11/2024) You really can't go wrong with Oghane! So, I was going to go next door to Tang Jip or Tofu House to have some Galbi (Korean bbq short ribs) and realized that one dish of galbi is running at ~$40!!! Heck, why don't I just go to Ohgane ACYE for only $33.99 per person and enjoy GALBI FREEEDOM!?!! (was trying to avoid ACYE as not to overeat!!... oh well, too late!! lol) We arrived early at ~6pm so there's no line yet. We were greeted and seated promptly by their staff, who were friendly, fast and super efficient. The meat was fine and tasty; and the staff was helpful and very prompt in assisting with changing the grill, bringing more orders, or water/ tea. Overall an excellent dinner experience at a great value. Highly recommended!! PS and hint - be sure to order slow or try half orders so you can try out more variety without the risk of wasting food. They do charge $40 for wasting food. :)
I haven't eaten AYCE KBBQ in a long while and this was a great intro back into it! My friends and I came a busy Saturday night and were seated within 5mins. There is seating in the back and that's where we ended up. However, it was only one server attending to all the tables. He was pretty quick and efficient though. We decided to go with the premium menu ($69 including tip) and it didn't disappoint! It was well worth our money! The marinated Kalbi is amazing! We kept ordering that (2 per person), the Wagyu brisket, and the scallops! We also tried the beef tartar which was divine (that's 1 per table). The unagi took is a minute to realize we had to reheat it. Overall, the vibes and the food and the service were great! Definitely would come back!
Food is delicious, and the quality of meat is good especially for the price. Service is fast, especially the bussers/food runners. There is plenty of seating, so the wait isn't typically long on weekends, but it can get loud inside.
Haven't been here in a while so wanted to update my review. So now they have a premium menu which surprised me in giving me such fabulous meat quality. I mean look at the marbling! Crazy for all you can eat. They also had lamb and beef tartar which are pretty rare. Their squid was a lot better than before as well. Overall I would recommend the new menu items!
Jenifer treats everyone like her fav fam!! We felt so welcome. It's all you can eat for one price. We must not had ordered enough as Jennifer brought us more!! She wanted us to taste her favs. I do not remember what they were but you can just ask her for her plate of favs!! Easy street parking Very wheelchair accessible and welcoming
Stuarth was the best! He was quick with the food, attentive to our needs, and bety personable. He always changed our grill and cleaned our table. Grrat experience!
Came here last night & it was packed, but us who was a table for 2 was literally seated right away! The service was good & attentive. The portions for certain items were a bit weird: ex. You get lots of bulgogi but if you order a spicy chicken, you get 1 piece, but if you get the butter garlic chicken, you get 2-3 big pieces of chicken. We had even ordered 3 spicy chickens at once and still only got 1 piece, which was bigger but was not 3 orders worth. The food however was good! Can't beat the flavor of any KBBQ in my opinion, even if it was the worst KBBQ, it would still be good. The spicy bulgogi though was a bit tough. But overall, the experience is always fun at any KBBQ. For a party of 2, our bill was about $84 (3 sodas included; canned sodas so no free refills) it was pricey, but no one comes to KBBQ every week, so on occasion is definitely worth it.
Haven't been here in a while but had the chance to try it again recently! I always love the menu variety, and how well ventilated everything is. The service is super fast and they are attentive to grill changes, taking orders, and checking in. The food is all really good! Some things MIGHT be a little saltier than expected, but always worth the try. I also appreciate that the meat serving sizes aren't too big which makes it easier to try out stuff . The side dishes are all super filled and super yummy! The stews aren't too filled which is nice if you wanted a small taste amongst a group or for sharing. Even having a stew for one person isn't too much. This is definitely one of my personal favorites for KBBQ in the area. The inside is spacious allowing for flexible reservations and planning. They also account for possible schedule changes if not too busy. The area is nice as well with lots of other Asian businesses nearby for quick snacks or desserts following after a meal. Parking is easy enough even during peak hours. Overall great place to drop by for a great price!
